About Hospice

Event Details
  • Spinning on a stationary bike is easy to do, even for the beginner. Everyone works at their own pace, using adjustable and ergonomic bikes.
  • This unique event will involve 5 hours of spinning, fun, exercise, music, refreshments and food. The event will be held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Participants will ride for up to one hour on a "Spin" bicycle. We will have experts on site for those not familiar with a spin bicycle.
  • Sign up as an individual.
  • Sign up as a Family - what better way to spend some time together and get some exercise!
  • Form your own team, with fellow cyclists, neighbours, members of a fitness club, or just a group of friends looking for a good workout, and spin for a cause.
  • Form a Corporate team. A great opportunity for team building.
  • All participants will receive a towel for use on the bike, and a T shirt
  • Professional instructors will motivate and lead the cycling group every hour.
  • Demonstrations will continue throughout the day, and will include Yoga, Pilates, and Stretching exercises.
  • Ambassador Bicycles will be on site, and demonstrate bicycle safety and maintenance tips, and how to change a flat tire.
  • Loaring Physiotherapy and Health Centre staff will be on site, and providing sport specific physiotherapy, first aid, massage therapy and educational services.
  • Therapeutic massage will be provided by the Canadian College of Health, Science, and Technology.

Who: All proceeds go to The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County
Facilities: Change rooms will be available at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts. If required, shower facilities have been arranged at the YMCA of Windsor and Essex County, 500 Victoria St., Windsor, Ontario.
Food and Beverages: Water and refreshments will be made available during the event and distributed to the cyclists by our volunteers. Food will be available all day.
Emergency Medical Services: Will be on site.
